The Americano supports limited government. Over the last century government has abandoned its constitutional limitations in many areas and has taken to itself the privileges of overbearing control of many things previously off limits. We believe that the government should play little to no role in the decisions made by citizens, so long as those decisions fall within the realm of constitutional law. The government´s first responsibility is to listen to the people and to do what is in the best interest of the people. We believe that the government should massively cut back on spending and return to its roots of basic necessities: mainly a source of national security and defense through a strong military and international intelligence. We must change the mindset of big government in Washington. To achieve this we support the replacement of bureaucratic public administration with Entrepreneurial Public Management and insist on congressional reform so government can operate with the speed, effectiveness, and efficiency of the information age.
