The report says minority families are being disproportionately hurt by the housing crisis and need relief from foreclosures even if they lost their jobs, as well as the chance to buy affordable homes and stronger consumer protections.

Immigrants, like my father and mother, have long been known for taking low paying jobs. The reason for this is simple; there are not many jobs low skilled workers with a considerable language barrier qualify for. However, immigrants within time learn enough of the language to get by and master a trade. Then with a modest savings over time many immigrants manage to start up their own business enterprise and begin to thrive in a capitalist society. Apparently, the entrepreneurial spirit is alive in all of us and immigrants are not exempt from it.
