True Cost of Cutting Corners

Both the Gulf oil spill and the West Virginia coal mining disaster prove that there are devastating consequences to cutting corners.

Scientists continue to investigate the devastating effects of the British Petroleum (BP) massive oil spill. The latest Google Earth projection shows the slick big enough to reach Washington, DC and five neighboring states including PA, MD, VA, DE and NJ. A May 25 Washington Post article reported that President Obama’s frustrations reached an ultimate high as he faces continued criticism and told an aid, “Plug the damn hole.”
